Have a Happy Turkey Day

Sorry I have not been around, but training will be over Friday... have not weighed in since the last one but I am losing inches. My clothes are telling me that... but I am going to wait a week or 2 after Thanksgiving to weigh again, because I may be a little bit bad!!! Hey, it is once a year and I will maintain portion control, not go all willy nilly! Hope everyone has a happy and safe one :)

Things are going well. Hope all is good with all of you! Have not weighed since I have been SO busy. Only 2 weeks left and then I will be all yours again ;) Clothes keep getting smaller so I am still doing something right... Fall is here and I am REALLY happy, it is my favorite time of the year! YIPEE Went karaoke for the 1st time last night, we had such a great time. Not only do I have a job, but I know have made some friends here my own age!!! DOUBLE YIPEE

I am Still Here...

and 2 1/2 lbs lighter I was really ok with just maintaining while I was in training, but it has been the opposite. And I have not been exercising, no time!!! Weird, huh?

Short Post but Good News

I AM BACK IN ONDERLAND!!!! WOOHOO :) I AM BACK TO 199!!!!! That is the weight I first started Atkins way back when... I had promised myself back then that I would never go into the 200's...which obviously did not happen :( But I am so happy to be back in onederland... and I was going to be happy just maintaining while in training!!! I have been so busy studying everyday that I have not done one bit of exercise except for last Saturday walking around the cruise ship for a few hours!!!

Anyway, I am on cloud 9... I am off today and on to do laundry and catch up on all my fav shows stored on the DVR! Tonight- haunted house, screams and fun :) Hope everyone is having such a great day!!!!

I'm Back

Well, temporarily anyway! I actually have 2 whole days off. Training has been hard, but I am still there so hopefully it will get easier as we go along! Food wise, I have been doing well. It is difficult with between in this office but I have made it work so far... I have counted points but I am not going to post all of the days I have missed. I have not weighed in 3 weeks but my work clothes keep getting bigger so I have to be doing something right :)

Hope everyone is losing and happy and healthy! Will post again as soon as possible... maybe even over the weekend! I think of you guys all the time and miss the community. Only 4 more weeks and I'll be back in touch ((hugs to all of you))

10/18/07 Spinning Head

Another day of way too much information!!! And DH's aunt was in town. So, we had to take her out to dinner. I did make DH and his Aunt quiz me before our food came, we went to Outback...and you know what that means- Cheese Fries (there go half my FPs) ;) Then there was some more studying after until I finally fell asleep! I am worried about Saturday... we are going to see one of the cruise ships and there is a lunch buffet!!! :0 That is a disaster waiting to happen :( It is just one meal, but then we are having brunch with my sister and her boyfriend Sunday at this awesome place in Miami and it is all you can eat (including crab legs- my fav) and all you can drink Mimosas, so another bad meal :( Not going to be a good week, but I will do the best I can and move on!

I do have good news... I actually tried on and wore a older pair of pants I had... in a size 12!!! I could zip them (zipper is on the side) almost all the way up...only 1/2 inch would not go...but you could not tell because I had a long shirt on :) YIPEE

Show and Shine Day 10/14/07

So, we went to the car/truck show so my DH could show off his pretty truck and all he has done to it... And it paid off! He was the winner of the best Modified Truck. There were only 3-4 truck awards and about 14 trucks...so he did really good! Made him happy, which makes me happy. Then, we went to celebrate his victory and the night before my 1st day of training at Outback. I did pretty good at the show...I did not give in to any temptation and drank lots of water. More later, but I am really tired now and sunburned!

Not Feeling Well 10/13/07

Good news: found out the truck part of the Show n Shine is only on Sunday...so we only have to go one day and they are ending it early. Awards are given at 2:30. Not feeling well from the UTI, so that is a plus in my book. Bad thing is I am on antibiotics and they always make me SOOOOO hungry :( So, this may not be a good week. And starting work/training Monday is not going to help either. I hate when someone else tells me when to eat....but it is for 6 weeks, so I'll live! There are much bigger problems in the world! So, because of the antibiotics, I have decided to eat yogurt every day to help keep myself from getting (TMI ALERT) a yeast infection!!! GRRRR I found Activa Light FF yogurt for 1 pt, so I'll see how it goes! Anywoo, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Oh, and drum roll please... the office is 99% done!!! YIPEE :) My sweet DH spent 1.5 hours helping my yesterday!!!

Cracker Barrel n Chinese He is Trying to Kill Me 10/12/07

But I made it out the other side!!! LOL I was SO exhausted from my day of retail therapy and running up and down the stairs and unpacking boxes... Yes, we should be all unpacked since we moved in last November, but don't know what to tell you! Other than all the eating, there was nappage and a visit to the IL's and 1/2 of a movie, Fracture with Anthony Hopkins. It is really good so far, but DH had to go to sleep. He did go to the sleep doctor and they are sending him for a sleep study. They said he may need a CAP machine, we shall see...

***Now for a TMI alert*** Stop reading now if you want to!
I think, strike that, I know I have a UTI... AAAAK! At least I caught it early and doc was kind enough just to call in a script! And that AZO over the counter stuff works like a charm! Have not had one in 15 years! And I am hoping not to have one EVER again!!!

A Great N Long Day of Retail Therapy 10/11/07

Gift card and cash (thanks DH for b-day present) in hand, I went on my way to entire day of retail therapy! First, it was Walgreens for this stuff called Repel. It keeps hair dye from getting on your skin. And I had a couple. Moved on to Walmart to pick up hair dye (been dying my own hair since I was 16), new tweezers, Loreal lotion and hair remover. Next stop- Payless Shoes for the Buy 1 get 1 1/2 off sale...got the cutest pair of brown suede pumps and white Ked-like sneakers (not for work).

From there, I went to the mall. I had a gc to Old Navy and some returns...then I did some damage, serious damage to my Old Navy cc. I got shirts for work, 2 pairs of jeans (one in size 14 and one in size 12- see note below), some pjs (for when I work from home) and this fabulous Sherpa jacket with toggles in black. Note regarding jeans: I tried on all 3 new styles and the sweetheart was the best fit. So, I bought a regular jean color in the 14s. They fit so well, that I decided to grab them in black size 12 as an incentive to drop a few more pounds. I get home to try them on (I always try everything on again when I get home) and for kicks, tried on the black ones...the only difference between the 2 pairs was the 12s were a little tighter in the waist, got that little muffin top...so, I should be wearing those in no time!!! Made my day... but there was more shopping!

Next stop- Macy's. My Mommy is the best and gave my a generous gc. So, I stopped by Clinique to get this foundation I got a sample from my Allure magazine and a lip liner and guess what...it was bonus week! SWEET!!! Bought some loose power from Prescriptives. After that, I found 3 tops that I fell in love with and they were 40% off. MORE SWEETNESS!!! Then, I was passing the purse department and fell in love with this Nine West purse. It is brown, but multi-colored and multi-fabrics. Again, on sale with 40% off. So, I left there with $$$ still on my gc!

Then, I walked the entire mall and made stops at Victoria's Secret for 2 lip liners and Hot Topic for a couple of great t-shirts. I love Emily Strange and they had 1 t-shirt. So, I got that, a fairy shirt and a Jack the Skeleton shirt. By this time, I was not in the mood to try anything on. And after getting home, I will have to return the Emily Strange shirt and the Jack Skeleton short. But they are getting more Emily Strange shirt in before Halloween so I will definitely be back there soon!

As if that was not enough retail therapy...I then went to HomeGoods. I had a gc from X-mas for there too! I got the cutest Halloween place mats, witch pillow and orange and black candles to finish off our Halloween decorations!

When I left the mall, I realized it was after 5:00 and the only thing I had eaten was a light string cheese :0 So, I had a KFC snacker. At least I got all my water in! And some serious walking. Probably an activity point or 2 but I never use them!

As if I was not exhausted enough when I got home, I still managed to unpack a huge box of my clothes that was stuck in the far corner of the garage. Oh, the site of me trying to get this very heavy box around all the stuff in the garage. I also unpacked a box of shoes...was looking for a pair of heels I need for training! So, maybe another activity point :)

PHEW...that was a lot! I am still exhausted and a little sore... off to breakfast with the DH, so gotta go. Thanks for reading this very long post and I will see how everyone is doing when I get back!

I Love Flexies 10/10/07

I felt like I was in prison for the last 4 days! PHEW...thanks goodness it is over and I AM FREE! Welcome back Flex Points- I LOVE LOVE LOVE you!!! I promise not to make you go away so soon this time. I will keep most of you and only use a few at a time. I know you want to stay and help me get through each week and help me lose weight! Thank you Flexies for coming back today :)

Worked on the office some today... DH had me running all over town getting him stuff he needs to get his truck ready for the Show n Shine at Ford Fun Weekend, this coming weekend. Yep, that is where I will spend my last 2 days of freedom before I start training for week. In the heat, fighting off sunburn and bugs! Oh, and waking up at the crack of early... all the while trying to resist all the BAD food they have there. Last time we were there, all they had were the usual's- hamburgers,fries, pizza, fries, breakfast sandwiches, turkey legs, did I mention fries??? So I will be packing a cooler just for me with all my good OP foods and living vicariously through my DH scarfing down all the goodies!

Oh, and DH wanted Wendy's for dinner... so I checked Dottie's site and found out I could modify the Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe and it went from 8 pts. to 5! I tossed their bun (which is 3 pts) and used a whole wheat potato roll for 1 pt. And got it without mayo. So, 3 pts shaved off and my roll fit the tiny little hamburger patty better!

Anyway, enough about me... off to check on everyone else! :)

A Day of Eating Out 10/9/07

It is not that my DH does not like my cooking...he just likes to eat out all the time. Which can be tricky for me, especially when I have used all my flexies early in the week. But I did it! I made it 4 straight days just on my regular points :) I am pretty proud of myself!

DH tried to get me to go to Outback for dinner, but I resisted. I told him I could not go there twice and not get cheese fries (the bane of my existence) and since I had no FPs, he had to pick another place. So, it was Cracker Barrel for breakfast and our favorite Mexican place for dinner! Rest of the day was spent travelling from Walmart to Walmart trying to find our staples. The 1st one was out of most everything we needed... and both still have not gotten my Egg White Quiches - Roasted Veggies back in stock :( Oh well, will have to stick with the Broccoli Cheddar. Bought myself a new pair of jeans in 14s. My 16s are just too baggy. MIL calls me saggy pants, which makes me feel good!!!

Oh, and I got one of the WW digital point calculators... I love this thing!!! SO much better than the slider thingy... off to do some laundry! Hope everyone is having a great OP day :)

10/8/07 More Office Set-up

Spent a couple of hours filing and emptying boxes and getting the office in order... my incentive to finish is a shopping spree. My Mom and MIL gave me $$$ for my birthday and I am due for some retail therapy!!! I was so busy today that I forgot about food for most of the day! It has been a long time since that happen! :0 I was really worried about not having any FPs left, but so far so good....and only one day left! Setting Up Office and Disastrous Dinner 10/7/07

So, it was another day of trying to get the office ready... I know I have 6 weeks of training before I come home to work, but I want it done before I start. Had a good OP day. DH slept most of the day. Rained alot here. DH left choice of restaurant up to me since I do not have flex points left. It was very nice of him, but I could not decide. I am actually getting tired of Mexican :0 OMG, did I just say that?!? I guess, it is because I get the same thing every time we go... what I really want is a damn chimichanga!!! And Applebee's is getting old too. But it is always convenient because I do not have to figure out the points. Anyways, I decided we would go to Bennigan's. I have always liked the grilled chicken platter. I eat 1/2, than have another dinner the next night, which is good since DH is at the station tomorrow! I knew it was a disaster from the time our waiter showed up. He did not really want to be there, it was SO obvious. Then, they ran out of the French Dip (DH's favorite and the only thing he ever orders)! I mean, how do you run out of a signature sandwich??? So, our dinner shows up... my chicken looked A- like it did not have any seasoning on it and B- like it had not been grilled for very long! WTF? So, because he is such a sweetie, DH said packed it all up and you can fix it up at home. Which I did and it was SOOOO much better!!! Hey, at least I stayed OP ;)

I Blew It 10/5/07

The euphoria of being hit on gave way to a night of bad eating! DH was working late and we did not end up going to dinner at 11:00! :0 I ended up eating a bunch of fried food and woke up feeling like I ate a salt lick. I cannot seem to get enough water to get rid of this feeling in my throat and thirst!!! I used all my FPs and I have 4 days left in the week... I really hope I can hold it together! I Got Hit On :) 10/4/07

So, we went to Outback for dinner. Had every intention of eating me some cheese fries...and then it happened! DH was parking the truck, so I went it to get us a table. As I was looking at the menu, this guy from the next table got up and came over. He asked me my name and told me I was beautiful! :0 I said I am married and flashed my ring! He said "too bad" and went back to his table! So, after all that flattery, I decided against the cheese fries. They would've eaten most of my FPs anyway. Start of Week 18 10/3/07

Nothing really exciting to report. Decorated for Halloween, our favorite holiday of the year. And we are finally in a neighborhood where there is a really good chance we will have trick or treaters! :) I just love seeing kids in their costumes!!! And the weather usually starts to change, get a little cooler around Halloween. This makes me the happiest!!! I can finally start exercising outside again :)

Averted Disaster and Got a Job 10/2/07

Well, I weighed in today. Did not do it until 12:30 and after a night of Applebee's, not sure if that is why I did not lose anything this week. I was so bummed, I almost blew it. I was on my way back from Walmart and the desire to have Mc Donald's hit my like a semi-truck! The whole way towards the Golden Arches I was thinking what I was going to have. Yes, I had flex points left but no enough for what I wanted to eat. I mean, I can't remember the last time I ate Mickey D's let alone a cheeseburger, nuggets AND fries. Somewhere between a mile and half mile away, I came to my senses. I mean, why would I wreck everything I have worked for just because 1 week out of 17 I did not lose... I'll call it temporary insanity!!!

I did go to a fast food place, KFC/Long John Silver. I got chix strips, mashed potatoes, baked beans and 2 hush puppies. And I decided since I made a better decision, I would use my FPs for a meal I've been craving. I used to eat it all the time b4 WW, just this time I did it LF. I cannot believe I am admitting this, but my typical dinner when DH was at the station was 2-3 Publix fried chicken strips, 6 pcs. Fridays potato skins w/ real sour cream and 6-8 petite quiches. THAT was my dinner. Hello, can we say fat and grease! So, I had already created a LF version of the potato skins, I left one of my KFC strips for dinner and made Nancy's Egg White Quiche and VOILA, I stayed within my points! And I am glad I did, because I got the great news about my new job after I got home from KFC. And that totally made my day! (see post below re: job)

Why do I so quickly try to revert back to my old eating habits after one tinsy setback? And not really a setback...it's not like I gained anything, I just stayed the same! At least the "fat" me did not win this round ;)

The Good News is Here...

Okay, for those of you on pins and needles waiting for my good news...and I know I made you wait, but I wanted to get the confirmation first!!!

I GOT A JOB!!!! WOO HOO

I have 6 weeks of training and then I will be working from home!!! YIPEE :)


Publix Fried Chicken and Start of October 10/1/07

So, I feel much better today after all the affects of the Rozerem... I really would rather be tired than how I have felt on the 2 sleep meds my Dr. has tried!!! So, I am going to try extra strength Sleepy Time tea by Celestial Seasons. My BF swears by it and she works really strange hours. I'll let you know how it works or doesn't in my case, as my DH says " my body is a mystery of science" and he should know, being a paramedic!!!

Weird things I have noticed since being on WW:

1) Publix must pump the smell of their fried chicken into the parking lot... I can smell it as soon as I get out of my car and even after 4 months of success- I want to devour it!!!

2) People at my Publix are very mean and angry... see previous posts!!!

3) How did I ever make it without Walmart? Not only is the food/wine less, so are the jeans/clothes!!!

Oh well, enough ranting... it is late and DH is snoring as loud as I lawn mower next to me...so it is time to retreat upstairs to TRY and get some sleep!!! Why is it SO hard, I wonder???

Good and Bad Weekend 9/29-9/30/07

Saturday was a pretty good day. Caught up on everyone's blogs, read a book, watched a little tv and just relaxed (DH was at the station). I decided to try Rozerem that night, since I am having problems sleeping. And this way, if I had adverse reactions to it, I did not have anything planned on Sunday. Well, I did and was "out of it" at least half of the day. Off balance, groggy, headache, tummy problems! I do not understand! The only thing I can think is maybe the wine I drank earlier in the night affected it :( Anyway, nothing else exciting happened and I did okay food wise. It was nice to just relax, not sorry about DH's truck, $ or anything else!!!

Dirty Dogs, Errands and Fighting 9/28/07

So, this was not a typical Friday. There were errands, shopping at Walmart. Then, our dogs got their baths, which is a workout in itself. Imagine a wet 120 lb dog charging at you and the towel you are holding like a bull. All so she can get dry because she knows there is a treat waiting at the other end of all this!!! LOL :0 She is extremely well behaved the rest of the time. The other one, 70 lbs HATES baths, you would think she was a cat! So, then we went to IL's to drop something off and I thought I was waiting for DH to finish talking to his Dad and he was waiting for me to stop talking to his Mom. So, we ended up missing going to our fav mexican place (they close early, that is early for us 10pm) and fought about it all the way to Applebee's. And I was twice as upset because I had allotted my points for the day thinking we were going to the mex place. So, I did not have a lot of points and ended up just picking...was not really hungry after the fight anyway. Things are ok now...hope everyone else had a better Friday night!

Dr. Appt and Headache 9/27/07

Title pretty much says it all. Had a Dr. appt, he gave me a new med and when I went home and researched it...there was NO way I was going to take it! So, I had to go back and ask for a different one. It is for sleeping, which I have not been doing a lot of lately! I think I waited too long to eat since I was doing all this running around, so I got a whopper of a headache. GRRRR, pretty much laid me out for the rest of the night :( DH did his best to take care of me! But, he gave me a medication that made me dizzy, hence the snack to try and get better. At least the headache went away :0

A Good Day 9/26/07

Today was a good day...I think I actually see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! :) We should be coming into some $ and DH is back working his side job... I had a relaxing day of rest and catching up on the week of season premiers on tv this week! I also made a spectacular dinner - WW Skillet Shepherd Pie. It was awesome and very hardy for 7 points, I added one pt to the recipe for a little more meat. I also added more veggies and beef broth to bulk it up. Got more H20 to make up for yesterday and got some stair exercise :)

B-Day Was Interesting 9/25/07

First, we will start with my Barbie bitching...I went to WI at Publix, like I always do. So, I park right next to the building because I am just running in to use their scale. People park there all the time to just use the ATM there. So, I am walking in and this guy comes up behind me and says " oh, sure you just park right there". I turned around and said " I am just going in to weigh", thinking that would be the end. NO...he now says "well, if you would have parked, you could get some exercise and then you would not be so fat"!!! :0 I had already stopped at the scale and he was walking in. I never got a chance to say anything back, which would've been " at least I can lose weight, you will always be ugly" and it seemed like chasing him into the store to say it was not worth it. I mean really, who pissed in his corn flakes? The nerve of him and on my b-day. I was really down from it for a while, but DH made me feel better!

So did the fact that I lost 1/2 lb this week!!! :) I am now at 201 and have lost 25 lbs in 4 months! I did not reach my goal of 199 by my b-day, but I am damn close and happy with it. All my 14's are fitting really well and I feel better!!

For the b-day, I got my hair cut and then dyed it myself. Can't celebrate the 33rd b-day with gray hairs, right? LOL Then, I took a nap and watched some tv. We went to dinner at Outback with IL's and friends, Jon and Aaron. It was a blast. And I got some pretty cool gifts :) No cake though, unless you count the 100 cal Hostess cakes I had when we got home! Very low key, but that is exactly what I wanted. It was a great day!!! And I stayed within my limit of regular pts and FPs!

9/24/07 Day Before B-day

So, I got a lot of work done today... cleaning house, laundry, unpacking left over boxes from the move... broke a sweat and was up and down the stairs so much, I think it counts as a workout!!! Has been very hard to get back into the routine of exercise since my surgery...and I had such a good run of it before the surgery. I was very careful of my points today, still trying to save my FPs for tomorrow's celebration. I thought it was going to be an intimate dinner with DH, but he kinda invited his parents :0 So, now I am trying to make it a party and invite a few more people! We shall see what happens. I will weigh in the am and keep points low til the dinner...so glad a new week starts Wednesday!!! Got lots of H20 in today, I am pretty happy that the water is getting easier. I found that using a 32 oz cup makes it the easiest, at least for me! Hope everyone had a good Monday! :)

Weekend of Beef, Crab and Wine 9/22-9/23/07

So, the weekend was pretty good. We finally made it to the Prime Rib and Crab Leg Buffet Saturday night. More on that later... DH truck is still running, so while we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed, we are optimistic. And DH is slowly starting to get back to work!!! :) I did get lots of water in and walked on Saturday. Sunday is rained ALL day, was very depressing. But we stayed in bed and watched movies- we made it a good day! I had to use some of my FPs for the dinner Saturday, but I made sure to leave some for Tuesday. I raised my target on Saturday back to 26 but only ate 25 on Sunday. I needed that point Saturday and will need it on Tuesday as well! But even though I did not eat a lot, I still had tummy problems Saturday night and well into Sunday :(

A Day of Fast Food 9/21/07

Not a good food day, but I did pretty good with it. Only used 1 FP. Good news: DH finally got his truck back. Now we just have to see if it does not break down again :( Fingers and toes crossed!!! LOL Spent basically 10 hours in the car, so that is the reason for the title of this post. Things did not go as planned, so I did not have any of my food with me! 9/20/07 Typical Day

So, after yesterday, I needed to sleep in. Then, I worked on some stuff to try and help our situation. I am really worried about my DH, he is burning the candle at both ends and him and his Dad are not getting along right now... I am starting to wonder if we moved too soon. DH has to drive an hour and 1/2 instead of 25 mins and it is taking a toll on him. We also think he has sleep apnea so that is not helping. We could not get an appt w/ the Dr. til 10/11 so he is going to start staying at his aunt's 20-25 mins away from the station til then. That means 2 nights apart every 3 days for at least the next 2.5 weeks :0 And he will have to go on my bday :( But I am going to go with him, so we can at least have dinner together. Things are just bad and I am really looking for the light at the end of the tunnel... we need to find it soon!!! At least I am not stress eating...in fact I have had a tummy ache for 2 days (TOM is here, I think that is the reason). Hope everyone else is doing better than I am right now!

Start of Week 16 9/19/07

Well, it was easy to stay within 25 points today because I had an upset tummy pretty much ALL day! GRRRR We will have to see how it goes tomorrow, if the tummy is better. TOM is coming too in the next week, so I usually want to eat a horse...and I am really trying not to use any FPs until the Prime Rib n Crab Lag dinner Saturday and my bday is the last day of the week. :0 So, we shall see how it goes!!!

I found out after only having 4 hours of sleep (been having trouble sleeping these days, think it is the stress) that I was going to have to drive 1.5 hours to see my doctor and then drive back, to the pharmacy near home twice (Doc wrote one script wring, thank goodness DH was still down there doing other errands) and a trip to Walmart! Needless to say I was exhausted when the day was over!!! As I was coming back from Doc's and speeding up the Turnpike, I looked at the clock. 1:30 pm and I still had not had a bite to eat... good thing I had a 100 cal bag of Goldfish! You would've thought they were crack! LOL I could not grab just a few at a time, I was just pouring them down my throat :0 It was crazy!!!

Things are better now that I am home, but DH still does not have his truck, he is not working his side job and the in-laws are getting tired of bailing us out. So, I am still really stressed! I really hope things get better soon or we are going to be in real trouble :(

Very Good Day 9/17/07

So, from my last post, you can see I have been on cloud 9 all day! I had a good weigh in, my hour long massage and dinner with DH and my IL's at our favorite mexican place (I splurged since I have quite a few FPs left and new week starts Wednesday) and it is not even my b-day yet! After all the crap we have been going thru and now that I am thinking, still going thru, this was a REALLY good day!

So, 2 goals completed. :)

Goal 1- Find a diet I can work into my lifestyle and stick to it CHECK
Goal 2- Hit 10% loss before my b-day CHECK

Goal 3 was to see onederland by my b-day but it does not look like that is going to happen since it is in 7 days! But I am darn close, only 2.5 lbs! :) So, I'll take it.

Anyway, I am off to check up on everyone else, see how ya'll are doing! Hope you are having a GREAT day too!!!

WI Today :) 9/17/07

I am sure from the smiley face, you can see it is good!!! I have not weighed for 2 weeks. I was afraid after the 9/4 debacle…but I lost 2.5 lbs!!! YIPEE I made 10% and passed it!!!! I was figuring it was going to show a gain, so I am on cloud 9 right now!!! So, 15 weeks and 24.5 GONE :) I got a massage afterwards, so I am considering that my reward!!!

I am going to go do a Barbie dance now hee-hee

Very Relaxing Day 9/16/07

It was the perfect day after all the chaos of the last few days. Stayed in, DH slept most of the day, I watched all my shows on my DVR! I have noticed that my shorts are getting too big to wear, which is nice. But I also think I am in between sizes so I'll have to hang out in them a little longer! I am Back :) 9/12/07-9/15/07

OMG, all I can say is thank goodness we are home. I missed my kids (dogs), my computer and you guys, my normal routine and my DVR!!! I did manage to take food/wine with me to stay on track- or the best I could do with 2 hour notice that we were going to be gone for 2-3 days :0 It was not really a visit with DH's aunt, as she left Thursday morning to go out to Colorado. We got to visit for an hour Wednesday night and then we were just using her house as homebase for the next 2 1/2 days. The idea was that DH and I would go together and after his OT detail Thursday and regular 24 hr shift Friday, we would pick up his truck Saturday and then drive home together...Needless to say not all of that happen!!! The only good thing about this whole trip was DH and I got to eat dinner together Wed. and Thurs. nights (both at Chili's- it was the closest to her house). That was the only highlight!!! And we came home in the same car we got there in- no truck!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!! Oh, there was one more good thing- I was getting dressed yesterday (Saturday) and DH said he could see I was getting smaller :) YIPPEE- he finally noticed.

I was so happy to get home today, so were our puppies! Back to normal routine, dinner at IL's :)

Will Miss You Guys

No, I am not leaving for long...just a few days. We are staying down at my DH's aunt's house and I do not want to use her computer for long. I should be back tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Did pretty well yesterday until dinner..went to Chili's. Do not have my books (I forgot them, duh) but will look on Dottie's site or tally points when I get home. Brought a bunch of stuff with me, food wise since I am on my own for breakfast and lunches, maybe even dinner tomorrow night. If that is the case, I will run to the store and get a WW frozen dinner. Hope everyone is doing well! And I am really looking forward to getting back home, in my normal routine!

9/11/07 NSV

So, today was a good day. Did a lot of housework, broke a sweat and ate good foods. As for the NSV, I ended the week and still had 9 FPs left!!! That is the most I have ever had left at the end of the week in all 14 weeks. I think I am getting ready to drop down to 24 pts since I know onederland is right around the corner ;) But I did it without even trying...I think I am starting to really listen to my body and when I am hungry. So, I guess that is really 2 NSVs!!!

DH still does not have truck...really hope this all gets resolved soon!!!

No truck, no side work, no extra $$$ coming in!!! But we are getting by. All I can say is thank goodness for family! And thank you to all of you. You motivate me to stay on track. :)

The Good and Bad of Weekend 9/7-9/9/07

Today was a weird day. Was feeling MUCH better from yesterday... but was not prepared to go to the car/truck show 2 hours away. I figured since DH still did not have his truck and just got off shift this morning that we would not go. But we did and in the rain no less!!! I ate just a pc. of cheese this morning because DH had said the guys were going to be bbq'ing. So, I figured I would just eat when we got there. On the way, I was REALLY hungry so I ate the 100 cal bag of Cheez-its I brought with me. So, we get there and since it was raining- no bbq. All that was there were vendors selling no-nos like pizza, burgers and funnel cakes :0

So I held off ALL day. All I had was 1/2 DH beer. And then we got home so late, that we ate at Wendy's. I mean, I had the points and probably could have gotten something better but after smelling them all day, I really wanted a burger! Oh, and I did not drink all my water for the day :( Only thing I can say is I survived, did not cave and tomorrow is another day!!!

Pretty Relaxing Day 9/6/07

DH was home most of the day, so we spent some time together and had dinner at the IL's (again)! I forgot to tell you about my NSV. Wednesday I had to dress up and when I out my black pants on, they were too big! YIPPEE So, I went a step further and tried on the long sleeve button down shirt that I was wearing with them. And it was too big too! WOO HOO So, I am down a size in both pants/skirts and shirts!!! I was SO happy...and I know you are all still waiting for the good news, but I want to wait for final confimation before I say anything! Sorry to keep you in suspense!

So, as I said, dinner at the IL's again. I tried to call them to see what we were having but their phone was busy the whole time and both their cells were going straight to voice mail... they did not know their phone was off the hook. So, I brought my whole WW book so I could count points. But they were having spaghetti w/ sausage and meatballs. I could've eaten the spaghetti just with sauce but did not feel like it. I saw they had leftovers from last night's dinner, so I just had that. It was still just as yummy as when I had it the night before!!!

Today is Better 9/5/07

So, here is the short version out the day yesterday... DH got in an accident around 8/7/07. It was in the shop being repaired for 3 weeks. He finally got it back last Friday and then it died on Saturday~1 day after he got it back! So, sparing you many of the details, we had it towed to Miami to my DH mechanic yesterday. I did not sleep well the night before. Then we were up early to get it there so the mechanic could see what was wrong with it. So, we get there at 10:30 and DH asked me to wait to see if we needed to go get a part... By 1:00, I had not eaten and told DH that I was going to go to Publix to go to the restroom (imagine a body shop bathroom where only men work- they only had paper towels~need I say more!) and to get something to eat. I was doing really well, staying hydrated and for lunch, I had brought a 100 cal bag of Doritos and drove thru and got a KFC snacker. No problem, 7 points. Got back to the shop and now we were on our way to pick up a part for the fuel system, that was the problem! We dash over there, get the part, bring it back and they put it in. Does it work now??? NO!!!! So, after some more looking around, they realize there is also a oil system problem. It is 3:30 by now :0 I am tired, cranky and just want to go home. We have one more errand to run GRRRR So, it is now 4:30 and we still have a 2 hour drive home. By this time, I was stressed, beyond tired and that is when the "fat" me came out. We stopped for gas and she went crazy! Munchos and Raisinets were the choice of the day!!! Might not have been bad, I counted 12 points... but then we got home and had 15 mins to get ready to have dinner at IL's with more family visiting and friends! So, needless to say, I said screw it and drank a lot and ate a lot!!! So, the day was blown and it was the 1st day to my week. Can you believe that is the short version??? :0 If you only knew...

I have decided to start week 14 today and forget about yesterday completely. Might not be the best choice in WW terms, but I am ok with it. I am just glad I am still alive to tell you about it all!

Today was a much better day and I still have the good news to tell you, but am waiting for confirmation before I say anything (and no, it is not a baby!). And because of my over-eating yesterday, I did not eat anything til 4:45 :0

Oh, if only that were true :( There is 1 itty bitty good piece of news I got yesterday amoungst all the bad, but will let you know what it is after it develops!

Very quick, got a busy day... I weighed in and lost another lb... YIPEE WOO HOO
So 13 weeks- 22 lbs. .6 lb away from 10% I wanted to hit that by my b-day, just over 3 weeks from now so looks like I will complete that goal early! Changed my next goal and I want to see onederland by my b-day... so that'll be another 5 lbs! We shall see...

Back again...not a day I expected, but one none the less...DH truck is still having problems, related or not to the accident, we are not sure... got mild case of heat stroke while trying to help DH. Have to have the truck towed to a Guy DH trusts 120 miles away :0 Anyway, no dinner at IL's....that will be tomorrow when more family is in town and friends back in town are coming! We were so tired that we ended up at Wendy's for dinner... not the best choice, but I still had 24 FPs left for the week!

Where Has the Year Gone? 9/1/07

DH was up early again this morning! I don't mind getting up with him and helping get him out the door, but I usually cannot go back to sleep for the next hour or two. Which at 4:30 AM can be a PIA. Thank goodness I do not work right now!!! But I feel like a bum, sleeping in like I do! But then, I have ALWAYS loved my sleep ;) If I do not get at least 8 hours, I am useless! Did more housework and broke a sweat, which is not hard to do considering where we are, but was good to get some stuff done and not be in bed all day! Visited with the IL's tonight for a little while, which was nice! Then, we decided to eat at home and just lay low. DH has to go back to station in the AM, so up again at 4:30. At least he will be home for Labor Day! It'll be nice to spend the day together :) And I still have 30 FP left so far, so it looks like I may be able to have a small splurge on the holiday. Which is great, since MIL is such a GREAT cook!!!

So, DH left at 4:30 AM, yes AM this morning... and since we did not go to sleep til midnight, I decided to sleep in. I actually slept until 11:30 :0 I was shocked, but my body even though better is still healing! Did some housework and office work, but still could not motivate myself to workout- treadmill or video... I am SO lazy!!! At least I am OP so far and it is almost bed time :)

Today was an okay day...was very sleepy...maybe nervous about DH day in court. And I was getting into a routine b4 all this happens... GRRRR!!! Oh well, I am fine and that is all that matters... will get back into the groove asap!

Start of Week 13 8/28/07

Well, our financial woes seem to be coming to an end...at least for now. It is hard when you move to a new city and do not have your saving to fall back on... but we are getting by. DH is working SUPER hard and we are having a rough year, just kinda working out the kinks. At least I am successful in the weight loss area, something I have total control over! So far so good, but only Day 1! Still have not exercised, it is hard to get back into after more than 3 weeks of being a couch/bed potato!!!
So, we will see how it goes...

So, today was a good day! Besides the good news at WI (see post below) DH was at the station, which means I get a day off! I slept in, was pretty much a couch potato and got some laundry done- an easy and relaxing day! Have to get them in as much as possible! ;) Good food day too. And I did not use all my FPs for the week... 2nd week in a row- never thought I could do that! But I am trying to gear up for going down in points soon... Only 6 pounds left and I do not want to drop when it happens, but gradually so it is not a shock!

OMG-WI 8/27/07 :)

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!!!!
I went to WI today and even after eating lunch, I lost 4 MORE lbs. :0 OMG, I almost fell over!!!! I had to get off and back on to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me! Might be because of the tummy problems I was having yesterday but I am taking it...and before you all start dancing with me, I must say that I have not weighed since the 13th, so it has been 2 weeks. But that is still 2 lbs at week with bed rest and no exercise!!! I still can't believe it... even though I was good while my Mom was visiting, I was expecting to remain the same or maybe even a gain... I could not stop smiling the whole time I was in Publix!!! So, now at end of week 12 I have lost 21 lbs...I am 1.6 lbs away from 10% YIPEEEEEEEEEEE I think my goal of seeing onederland by my birthday is actually going to come to fruition, only 6 lbs to go and 4 weeks!

Found 2 new products at the store. Have not tried them yet, but will do a product review as soon as I do.

Sick 8/26/07

Ugh, when I woke up I was SO sick! Think it was from all the fighting, had my stomach in knots. So, it was a really lazy day because I was laying down trying to get rid of my headache, tummy ache and (TMI ALERT)potty problems. DH slept most of the day, he has been working too hard!!! I started to feel better late afternoon so we made plans to eat at IL's for dinner. They were having fajitas, but I improvised to keep the points down as usual. Have not WI in a while but it was TOM and Mom was here and I have been really busy. I have been going by my clothes and they are feeling pretty good. Will try to WI sometime this week. My mom even commented that she can tell I have lost some weight, so that made me happy. She has not seen me since May and I started WW right after that. Actually the pics from that weekend are what got my butt to do something! :0 I cried when I saw those pics! But here I am at least 17 lbs lighter and about to end week 12. I am proud that I have stuck with it, especially during the tough times. Now, I just need to keep it up. It should help that I can start back to my "normal" activities. First order of business: finish unpacking rest of boxes since move! My goal is to have everything done including painting and hanging shelves, cabinets, etc by our year anniversary of moving in November! Wish me luck, I am a total procrastinator!

8/25/07 Good and Bad

Mom was still here, so we went to breakfast. Mom really wanted to go to the Cracker Barrel. Usually it would not be bad, but my phone line was down so no DSL. I could not look at Dotti's site to find out what I was going to eat and points. I made the best choices I could make and it did not turn out too bad... then Mom left. DH and I had a pretty big fight after dinner, which just ended the day on a really bad note :( But these things happen... tomorrow is another day!

Good Thing 4 Flex Points! 8/23 & 8/24/07

So, Mom is still here and we have done a whole lot of nothing for the 1rst day 8/23 (Thursday)... just chilled and talked in the morning, then went to lunch with MIL at Applebee's.And then chilled and talked some more til DH got home and then we went to dinner at Outback. You can start to see the meaning on the title of this post... ;) 2nd day 8/24 (Friday) Mom and I went to do a little gambling (played slots) at Hard Rock- ate and drank..., then picked up her rental car at the airport (as she is continuing her travels to visit other family in the state) and then had dinner at Casa Stefano's. Again, check the title... I knew this would happen so I was prepared and did the best I could! I still have some FPs, so I had to have done something right. We had such a GREAT time and I was really glad she came and so happy just to hang out! She is always busy at home as a wedding planner, so we got some good quality time in- just the 2 of us!!!

2- I did not let the fact that Mom was in town derail my lifestyle change- BIG YIPEE this is SOOO huge because I was one of those that fell off the wagon and HARD for every birthday, anniversary, family visiting, you name it! But NO more :)

Mommy is Here :) 8/22/07

I did a little too much yesterday since Mom was coming to town today... Yes, I know she was not expecting too much since I have been basically in bed since 8/1, but I still had to do some stuff so she could see our house for the 1rst time. We had a great talk on the way from the airport and after dinner- was able to stay OP!!! The next 2 days will be challenging but with all the week's FP still available, I think I can manage ;) Tomorrow, going to visit the Indians for a little gambling (about 1.5 hrs away- which means food from Hard Rock Cafe and alcoholic drinks in the middle of the day)!!! The only good thing is lunch Friday with MIL is at Applebee's, so I won't have to worry about points!!! Hope everyone is having a GREAT hump day!!! May not write for a few days but will try, keeps me honest about what I am eating and drinking...

1rst Day of Week 12 8/21/07

Was an okay day...had some problems with DH retirement fund helping us with some unexpected emergency expenses due to DH accident and my surgery. Had to spend 4 hours on the DAMN paperwork! UGH!!! Realized I did not eat anything until 3:30. I have to get better at stopping to eat when I get into these frenzies, I always end up not eating or drinking anything when I am stressed and on the phone, doing paperwork etc. Happens when I clean too! I did Clean, but only a little and after a little food and water, since Mom is coming in to town. And I am feeling a little bit better. Everyday, it gets just a little bit better. Wish it would hurry up, got life to get back to! Nothing else going on here, hope everyone is having a better day than I am!

Last Day of Week 11 8/20/07

Another day of bed rest, however this was the 1st day I woke up with no pain :) Only took pain meds 1 time this day! Stayed within FP this week, actually only had 3 left over, but at least there were a few, right? Week 12 starts tomorrow...have not weighed in, but may tomorrrow. we will see... got lots to do b4 Mom comes into Wednesday!!!

Weekend of Wendy's n Rest 8/17-8/19/07

So, I have been doing nothing but laying around and resting per doc's orders... caught up on A LOT of tv shows I like,downloaded some new music for workout on Ipod and checked in on everyone else. At least I am looking forward to getting back to "normal" activities and especially exercise. Who would think I would be excited about exercise! I ate Wendy's too many days in a row and even thought I stayed within points/flexies, I still feel like I cheated! Does that sounds weird? Plus ate late, so that did not help... I am not optimistic about WI tomorrow (8/20)...

Tired Mad and Now in More Pain 8/16/07

Drove down to back pain doc, he is 1 hour and 20 mins away. Have not found one I like up here and have been with this same doc for a couple of years. And I only go every other month, so no biggie. But it made me very sleepy... then when I got back in town, I went to Walmart. Here is where the mad came in (read previous post). Then, last night I soaked and took off the medi-strips from my surgery. I was still having on and off pain before I took them off...OMG, now that they are off. HOLY CRAP!!! It is painful, incision is raised and looks like I may have busted one of the stitches at some point, it is not bleeing but open a little. Sorry if this is TMI! Anyway, I was in so much pain, I ate Wendy's for dinner... could've had chili but I wanted fries- my comfort food. The good thing is I only had nuggets, no burger...so I only went over my target by 4 pts- not bad, could've been alot worse!!!

I Am Crying, No More Salads :(

So, after trying 2 different Walmarts three different times, I finally asked the deli manager who happen to be on the floor working on one of the deli cases when they would be getting some more in... I almost passed out when she said they were no longer going to carry them!!! WTF??? How dare they get me hooked and then take it away!!! WAAAAAAAY :( After collecting myself, and trust me, it took a lot. I had these thoughts of slugging the manager or maybe just pulling her hair a little... or maybe not shopping there anymore...then I came to my senses! I can make my own greek salad...it was just so convenient that they had done all the work for me. So, I knew I could get all the ingredients except the same dressing...but I did find an ok one. I will get by with it.

PRODUCT REVIEW: It is Good Seasons Light Greek Vinegarette w/ Oregano and Athenos Feta Cheese. I had to try a little bit on my finger when I got it home. (yes, I am impatient if you could not tell LOL). It is a little salty but it'll do. And will probably taste a little different once it is all mixed in with the other stuff. Here is the nutritional info:

Points- 1.5 (on my slider, it is right at the 1/2 line so I say 1.5)

Now, the Fiesta Salad is going to be a little bit harder because I cannot find a Lite Chipolte Ranch Dressing. I think I am going to do a mix of light sour cream, salsa, and some other ingredients, see if I can come up with something I can live with. Anyone know of a dressing like the dressing mentioned above??? The good thing is - I finally figured out what to do with all the crunched up pieces of my baked scoops. Instead of the blue chips they used, I will use the broken scoops. I don't think I'll even know the difference!

So, while I was delivered a BIG blow, I was able to take it and make a positive out of it! Which is another victory :)

I am still having pain- it comes and goes, so doc has said to take it even easier for a few days (UGH!!) and see if it helps. If not, I have to go to his office on Tuesday. And then my Mom is coming to visit Wednesday :)

Off The 100 Cal Bags n 7 Pt. Pizza I am In 8/15/07

So, today was interesting. 1st, got my oil abnd the 2 front tires changed. The, went to both Walmarts- no salads BOO HOO I was very upset but I manage to make a giant step in my healthy way of eating. I put down the 100 cal bags of both the cheez-its and goldfish and bought the regular boxes. I am ready to make my own servings and save $$$ in the process. Also, I think since we went for Italian last night (which I frozen the other 2 servings of the lasagna), I decided I wanted pizza. The flatout pizza I made was SOOOO awesome, I think I am addicted! For 7 pts., I am full,full,full!

Dinner w/ IL's and My Favorite Boys 8/14/07

Day started off pretty rough... trying to get $$ together for DH truck repairs and some other unexpected expenses... did not realize until about 1pm that I had not eaten anything! Then, I got a headache and still had to run errands :( No salads at Walmart since I got there so late, but that's okay...I'll go tomorrow early and we were invited out to dinner with the in-laws and their neighbors John and Aaron. I love them to death and we had a wonderful time! It was a Italian place and I was nervous, since I have not been to an Italian place since I started WW. But I did a little research in my WW books and had a couple of options I could pick off the menu. I think I did pretty good! :) I am learning!!! Still no exercise- still having pain, per Dad and DH and FIL (all FF/Paramedics), they think when they did my surgery, doc may have cut into the muscle. But I am going to try walking on the treadmill at a VERY slow speed tomorrow for 15 mins and see what happens. I need to start somewhere and it will be just a little. I'll let you know how it goes...

Was up 2, now down 4 YIPEE 8/13 WI

So, I up uo 2 lbs 2 days after my surgery. Did not bother me, figured my body was confused. I am happy to say my WI today showed those 2 lbs. disappeared and took another 2 with it!!! So, I am 209 today. End of week 10- 17 lbs gone!!! I can actually see Onederland- I am almost there!!! Woo Hoo (doing my Barbie dance) :) Hope everyone else is having such a good day!!!

PRODUCT REVIEW: Also, when I went to WI, (For 1rst readers, I do not go to meetings and I weigh at my local Publix)I was going to get 1 fresh Publix fried chix tender to go with my LF potato skins as a treat. But I was there too early, they were not ready. So, I wandered around the store trying to look for something else and also wanted to see if they carried Alternative Bagels- 1 pt. (which they did not, neither does either Walmart in our local area). Well, I was in the frozen breakfast section where the bagels would have been and I found these Jimmy Deans D-Lights breakfast sandwiches. I picked the one with Turkey Sausage, because I have been craving a sausage McMuffin from Mickey D's. Here are the numbers and my review:

You can microwave it or cook in the oven. I chose the microwave option because I was making a hashbrown to go with it and you cannot microwave those- they need to be nice and crispy! Next time I will choose the baking option. It was good, really hit the spot. The sausage was sweet and a little spicy. But the english muffin got a lil soggy. I give it a 7 out of 10. Will see, but it'll probably be a 8 or 9 after baking it. And for 5 points, it was a good option. The ones I usually make myself at home are 4 pts with Canadian bacon. And I liked their egg better than the Egg Beaters. So it was a good buy, plus I had a $1.00 off coupon!

Rest and Some Minor Remodeling 8/12/07

Slept in...hung out with DH in the AM- ate breakfast. I had LF foods, he ate a bagel and a box of Jelly filled Munchins :0 Sometimes I want to strangle him! LOL We took it easy after that. DH even went back to sleep, must have been all that fat n sugar! ;) Then, we hung our new curtains/rods in the bedroom and put the slipcover on the loveseat out in the sitting room, all thanks to my retail therapy day with MIL. Then, went to IL's for dinner. DH Aunt was in town, so we went to visit with her. All in all, it was a good day!

DH had another headache...probably dehydrated from working in the sun all day, but who knows...anyway, I was saving the rest of my FP for this night, so now I have quite a few....not that I need to use them, but I always seem to! To the IL's We Go 8/10/07

Have been having some cramps- won't give you TMI... So, there was not a lot of eating earlier during the day but despite that, I could not keep my eyes off my DH's Wendy's burger he brought home for lunch, it smelled SO good along with the fries smell OMG... All I can say is thank goodness he ate the whole damn thing ;) The, MIL called- they were having burgers for dinner and an invite- YIPEE!!! SO< I took some 97% FF Hormel Hot Dogs for FIL to grill while he did the burgers(I freeze them for later). Also took pickle slices, 2% cheese slice and dijonaisse. Oh, and don't forget the frozen Checkers fries from Walmart. I was prepared, think I brought half my food, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right???
